HI! I’m Sunshine the clown-Christine Haymon, pastor’s and district pastor’s wife, Women’s and Children’s Coordinator, and clown director of the RCOG Clown Troupe.

Pictured below is my sidekick, Cactus Slim-David Holkem, Assistant Director of the RCOG Clown Troupe and Assistant Bethlehem Village Director.

Our clown troupe has been active close to eleven years. Our most prominent function is in our RCOG Kid’s Crusades. Our Church is currently doing Kid’s Crusades on the 4th Wednesdays of the months of February, April, June, August, and October during the year of 2007.

In February of 2007, our theme was on ABORTION. All of our ministries take part on a rotating scale throughout the year. The clowns and puppets perform every event. We participate in several events at the church and community.

In February of 2007, our KFC Ministries hosted a Kids For Christ Production on Life and Abortion. The Clown Troupe performed a skit called, “Baby Heaven”. With this being such a sensitive subject for children, we added some humor and fun to a heaven scene. We projected a positive note when returning to heaven. Adult clowns played children’s parts. One child died from a weak heart caused by a mother that was a druggy. Another died of a fever. The last one was a boy baby that was aborted. Even though it was a serious subject, we were able to make it a fun time for the kids. We projected HEAVEN as a fun, safe, and caring place to be.
